Read All of "The Proving of Champions," Free Portal Fantasy

Portal fantasy Godzilla / Predator mashup. Fleta the super-fast monk girl, Alexei the 100-soul warrior, telepathic mushrooms, and others are stranded in a jungle with a giant monster that digests and absorbs powers.

Fleta, a red-haired girl with messy braids, peers into a jungle while a giant monster muzzle looms in the background.

Fleta is fast—fast enough to leave everyone behind. Everyone says she's not ready for the Proving, but she’s determined to show them wrong. She leaves her peaceful, mountain village for a deadly jungle, where the trees are hundreds of feet tall, and so is the hideous monster known as the tarasque. When Fleta crosses paths with creatures stranger than anything she’s imagined—like the 100-soul warrior and sentient fungi—she’ll realize this is no ordinary trial, but a fight for survival against forces far beyond her understanding.
